On the occasion of World Photography Day, Yuva Marathi had organized a
Photography Competition with the theme being 'Shravan: The Month of Festivals'.
Stories are an inseparable part of Marathi Literature. Many writers have touched
the hearts of their readers through their beautiful stories. Wasim Maner, a writer, director,
cinematographer and cinema teacher was invited to speak on the process of story development.
Music, with all it's subtlety has immense power to unite people, spread love and
bring peace in this world.
So on the occasion of World Music Day, Yuva Marathi had organized a Music Tournament.
On the occasion of Swatantryaveer Vinayak Damodar Savarkar birth anniversary,
Yuva Marathi had organised a guest lecture on the topic - Contribution of Veer Savarkar to Marathi
literature (मराठी साहित्यातील वीर सावरकरांचे योगदान).

On the occasion of Gudhipadwa- Marathi new year, and World Art Day, Yuva Marathi
had organised a drawing competition among students to portray Marathi culture, history, etc through
their drawings.
To spread awareness about the threat of using single-use plastic Yuva Marathi had
organised an essay competition among students to emphasize the need for elimination of Single-Use
Plastic and allied topics.
Gudhipadwa, the grandest of our events, is the celebration of the Marathi New
Year with pomp and fervour. In the morning, eminent guests and speakers are invited to perform the
‘Gudhi Pujan’ followed by a performance of Dhol-tasha and Dhwaj. Later, in the evening, the members
of our dance, drama and music academies showcase their immense talent and put on a fantastic show
that is attended by VIT’s Hon. Chancellor and many famous celebrities! But the real highlight of the
event is in fact the huge dinner spread of delicious Maharashtrian food, which is eagerly waited for
by all.
